This is a hand-gilded mirror using the traditional methods of verre églomisé and hand-etching. It consists of genuine 23 karat gold leaf imported from Italy, black backing paint, a black patina leaded frame and black patina brass chain.
The backing of the mirror includes multiple layers of black backing paint and oil-based varnish for protection, but please still take care not to compromise or scratch the back in any way when handling. Gold leaf is extremely delicate and unforgiving.
